Adorable moment bear cubs hold hands while their mom was hunting for dinner

While for most people, wildlife is nothing short of aggressive and threatening, it often offers some incredibly tender scenes. And this pair of cubs holding hands is definitely a sight not to be missed.

Fortunately, Lewis Kemper – a wildlife photographer, has arrived at the right time to capture these incredible moments on camera.

The 62-year-old California-based photographer was in Lake Clark National Park when he spotted the lovely sight.

Two cubs were holding hands as they looked at the mama bear trying to get her dinner. “I was leading a photography tour around Lake Clark in Alaska earlier this month when I spotted a female and her two cubs waiting for her to return with something to eat,” Lewis said.

“I was standing about 20 feet away from the cubs – the bears in the area are used to the human presence and don’t mind us.”

Although they were impatiently waiting for some fish at dinner, their mother returned empty-handed. “The two bears held hands for about 20 seconds,” said the photographer.

“They hoped their mother would bring them some dinner, but unfortunately, she came back with no fish.” According to wildlife experts, bears have a 10% hunting success rate.

Even most bears like to eat fish. Their diet is mainly based on plants. “Although bears love their fish, most of them are omnivores and eat mostly plants and of course, lots of grass,” added Lewis.

However, the two cubs are not the only wild animals caught on camera as they gently hold hands. A couple spotted two penguins holding flippers on a beach in South Africa. The lovely encounter quickly went viral on social media back then, winning the hearts of millions.
